Into the Wilderness of Tanzania

Ethan Kinsey Safaris

Seeking wild and beautiful places, wild animals, cultural experiences with amazing people, getting off the beaten track, big skies and campfires is what safaris are about. I prefer to travel in places in which I can immerse myself and my guests in the environment. I like to stay in small luxury camps where the people will know you by name and who benefit local communities, and areas where getting out of the vehicle and walking are possible. With experience in some of the most special places in Tanzania, Ruaha National Park, the Gol mountains, and Maasai land east of Serengeti, I have developed an understanding of some of the intricacies of ecosystems, conservation issues, and indigenous cultures.

From walking with Maasai across the short-grass plains of the Serengeti where 1.5 million wildebeest gather to calve and feed on the nutrient rich grass, to hiking the isolated and diverse rain forests of the Udzungwa mountains with researchers where primates, shrews and reptiles are still being discovered, to sitting on a rock watching elephants wallowing in mud, while kudu, impala, giraffe, eland, buffalo, and zebra queue to drink, to pursuing wild dogs on an efficient hunt, let me advise you and take you to these special places I have been.
